Steve Roberts is the President of CompuWeather. Steve attended the State University of New York College at Oneonta and he graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Meteorology and a minor in Mathematics. After joining CompuWeather in 2000, he has served in many areas of the organization over the years including senior management, weather forecasting and analysis, radio broadcasting, and foremost, forensic meteorology. In 2012, Steve earned the highly respected Certified Consulting Meteorologist (CCM) Seal (#686) from the American Meteorological Society (AMS).
In Steve’s role as the President of the Forensic Division, he manages all aspects of forensic operations. He has worked on thousands of forensic weather investigations, including many high profile cases. Steve has served as a weather expert for over 10 years having been qualified as a weather expert for deposition and trial testimony in over 55 cases for plaintiff and defense in both state and federal courts. Steve is very detail oriented and gives all of his work the highest level of service and attention possible. Steve’s main objective is to create a dialogue that assures his clients are prepared with a clear understanding of how all weather aspects impact their case. His extensive courtroom experience will prove invaluable should your case go to trial.
When Steve is not consulting on forensic weather reconstructions as a weather expert, he stays up to date in the field of meteorology by maintaining his long time memberships to the National Weather Association and American Meteorological Society. In addition, Steve is active in his local church, enjoys spending time with his wife and 3 children, and tries to squeeze in a round of golf with friends.
